Your Midnight Have Come
Acts 16:25-34
Many of God's people are enduring a challenging season. For some of us, it's been a time of turmoil, struggle, and unrest in our souls. You might feel imprisoned by your circumstances, as if the more you try to advance, the more the enemy tries to bind and chain you. Situations that should have lasted three months have now stretched into a year. Your soul is restless from the weight of the attacks and the pressure from every side. You're wondering how long it will be before you can escape this situation, move to the next level, or receive your healing with evidence that it's gone.
It feels like you don’t know how much longer you can bear it. It feels like nothing you're praying for is coming to pass. You feel like you're at a standstill, experiencing the darkest season of your life. You have all these wonderful plans to expand the kingdom, but you're wondering how it will happen. You see the ungodly prospering without any thoughts of kingdom building while you're barely making ends meet. You say to yourself, this shouldn't be. You're living all you know for Christ, paying your tithes, showing kindness to the less fortunate, praying, and decreeing the promises of God morning, noon, and evening. You're trying to hold on to your faith despite the opposition. I know it’s tough, but God says, hang in there.
Well, my brothers and sisters, you might be in your Midnight Season. Webster defines midnight as a deep or extended darkness or gloom. Midnight is the transition from one day into a brand-new day. Let me encourage you today: you are about to MAKE A TRANSITION! Remember Paul and Silas? If we learn to PRAY and PRAISE our way through our Midnight Season, the bars of our imprisonment will begin to crumble, and the doors will suddenly open. Could it be our attitude during our Midnight Season that holds the doors from opening? Brothers and sisters don’t give up NOW! God is about to transition you from your midnight season to your abundant place, the place flowing with milk and honey. Paul and Silas chose to pray and praise during the gloomiest time of the night when everything looked bad. When everything looks at its worst, muster up a prayer and a song in your heart. Sing that song until you feel Jesus in your heart.
I petitioned HEAVEN for you yesterday. I made a demand on Heaven to hear our prayers and reminded heaven of the promises. I am expecting an increase in your spiritual life, your finances, and your home. I am no longer going to worry about the circumstances or how the bills will get paid or how God will turn the situation around. It's not for us to know how He will do it. It's for us to BELIEVE and TRUST that He will. Some of us believe God can only move between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. If He hasn’t moved during that time, then our hope for paying that bill or moving that situation is over. NO! It doesn’t matter if it is 6:00 AM, 5:00 PM, or 10:00 PM. When God wants to move in my situation, circumstances like day or night will not stop the hand of God. The economy, my situation, my job, my health, my banker, or my landlord will not stop the hand of God from moving in my situation. Keep the faith, praise GOD through your circumstance, and watch the doors of your prison fall open. Be blessed. DON’T GET DISCOURAGED...KNOW THAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO TRANSITION! Let’s thank God for the Midnight because the Midnight has come only to Transition us to our DESTINY!
